Cycling
A good thing about all these quiet country lanes is that they are ideal for bicycles. You can hear traffic a mile off and you don't disturb the wildlife. There are some very nice cycle runs around here with distances to suit most people.
We got into the mountain bike craze just before it started and did quite well out of it but sadly over the years, as life became hectic, we didn't have the time to enjoy it. now of course we really need it to help keep us fit, and since the Sustrans cycleway comes within a few miles of here it does not make any sense not to cycle. Just need bigger saddles these days.
Some of our cycles are fitted with small electric motors which can be engaged to help you get us a hill, one of Sir Clive Sinclair's better inventions. We can quite easily charge the batteries up using solar power too. Some outings involve picnics, wildlife spotting and archery tournaments - if the weather is good that is - and for the ambitious there is always a mountain to climb. We use walkie talkies to stay in touch. Pretty much sorted really.
