A proper hammock, strung under the shade of two maple trees at the top paddock entrance to our orchard walk.
And there's no queue!

Space
We have ample car parking space for half a dozen or so cars and, being that Springstone is a seven bedroomed farmhouse, we normally have space for guests. The audio studio playing area has been used for overspill, and we have plenty of space for tents.
We have two large kitchens, a separate dining hall and a couple of patios - we can accommodate a dozen people for a meal. An important feature of Springstone is all its little places. You can have quite a few people here without it seeming claustrophobic, whether you are taking time out in the hammock, sitting in the orchard, walking through the wood, down on the campsite, shooting arrows on the range, reading on the patios, playing music in the studio, messing around in an outbuilding or learning something in the theatre. None of this interferes with the farmhouse at all.
Being in the countryside is all about space, so it is really important to us not to spoil it for all its inhabitants, and we do have strict rules on pollution control and environmental impact be it material, chemical or genetic. These rules are our law, and it's best that you honour them - details in our Arrivals section.
